Medical
Tyco Electronics offers comprehensive medical and
hospitalization coverage. Most office visits are only $15 ($30 for
visits to specialists) and, after a small deductible, the Company
covers 80% of the costs of most services.

Prescription Drug Program
Included in the medical program is a highly competitive prescription plan. Eligible generic prescriptions are available for as little as $16 for a 90 day supply.

Vacation
Employees can receive up to 5 weeks of vacation dependent
upon years of service. New hires are eligible for 10 days of vacation, increasing to 15 days in their 5th year of employment with the Company.

Personal/Sick Time
Employees are eligible for up to 48 hours of personal time annually.

Holidays
Tyco Electronics provides 10 paid holidays annually.

Income Protection Benefits

  • Short-Term Disability (STD) - An STD program is provided in the event of illness or injury.
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD) - Tyco Electronics offers the option of a LTD program providing 60% of monthly salary in the event of a permanent disability.
  • Life Insurance - 1 times annual salary life insurance provided by the Company, at no cost, to the employee. Employees may purchase additional coverage for themselves and their dependents.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) - 1 times annual salary AD&D insurance provided by the Company, at no cost, to the employee. Employees may purchase additional coverage for themselves and their dependents.
  • Business Travel Accident Insurance - This insurance provides additional company-paid coverage to employees traveling on business.

Retirement Benefits

401(k) Retirement Savings & Investment Plan: Save for retirement or other long-term financial goals. As a new hire, contribute as little as 1% of base salary and Tyco Electronics will contribute an additional 5%! And, as your years of service increase, the Company will contribute even more!

Training and Development
Tyco Electronics offers professional development courses with a focus on management, sales, and engineering training for their employees.
